Learning to serve is a key part of student life
Students at all levels are encouraged to volunteer and participate in service projects for our local community, school families in need, as well as opportunities to help around campus.
As a requirement, high school students must log from 5 to 20 hours per semester relating to community service.
Examples of school-wide service projects include:
- Clean-up outreach to the neighborhood
- Annual coat drive for the Tacoma Rescue Mission
- Bi-annual blood drives
- Support of overseas mission projects
The Joy of Serving
Jesus said that the greatest among you is servant of all. We believe student disciples grow through the experience of serving others. Students, faculty, and staff richly experience the joy of serving others in practical ways.
Service Hours
Each student is required to perform a minimum of five hours of service for the community in grade nine, ten hours in grade ten, fifteen hours in grade eleven, and twenty hours in grade twelve.
